The doctoral program DART specializes in the areas of accounting, reporting, and taxation with a focus on economics-based research, applying quantitative research methods and modelling. It is a cooperation between three major Austrian Universities, located in Graz and Vienna.

The program was inaugurated to enhance American awareness and understanding of the Middle East in general and Egypt in particular by providing research opportunities for a cadre of specialists-in-training or already-established scholars in the field.
